Selected items are displayed in this panel, where the preview is shown

Image Resolution

You can select image resolutions using the toolbar. A selection of default power-of-two resolutions is provided. If you require a resolution not included in the defaults, you can create a custom resolution. It is recommended to use power-of-two resolutions, as they are optimized for Unity.

Settings

Outline

An outline can be displayed to more clearly show the area of the image on the background of the UI, this can be changed to any color.

Grid

Enable this to draw an overlay of lines overtop the image which is useful for aligning the content, this can be made with up to 10 in either row or column directions and be changed to any color.

Default Translation

When changing between objects you may need a default position, rotation or scale offset which is automatically applied to the object’s translation value.

note

NOTE: Rotations are made with euler angles, and can result in euler lock causing unexpected rotation behavior.

Camera Settings

Position and rotation of the camera are independent of the object. Field of view can range from 10-120.

File Type

Defines the export file type of the resulting icon, currently supported are; PNG, JPEG, EXR, TGA.

NOTE: HDR images are only currently supported with the XDR file format. Default Destination

Base output folder of the current exports, this can be either inside or outside of the current project.

Scene

Ambient Color

Scene’s ambient color. This is currently not working as expected and is being investigated.

Light Intensity

Intensity of the pre/post render lights in the preview scene, 0-5 range

Translation

Translation group

Axis

The top left defines which axis is being currently modified, by default none are selected. Multiple axes are able to be selected at the same time to allow simultaneous movement.

To the right of the axis selection is a value reset, click any of the singular axes to reset the individual value or “All” to reset all 3 axes.

Current Value

Provides the real time value of the current axis, this can be directly modified for fine tuning values.

Translation Buttons

These buttons give a standard movement amount defined by the step value in the middle to provide quick translation of objects.

Render

Output file destination, before prefix/suffix naming. This can be changed to give a custom destination to each file when rendered.

Render Buttons

“Add to render queue” will place the item into the render queue with the currently selected settings

“Render Selected” will immediately render out the current image (without prefix or suffix naming modifications).
